Snow settles heavily across the track, softening the edges of tyre marks and quieting the forest on either side. Pines bow under the weight of white, their branches muted and still as mist drifts through the distance.
At the far end of the road, two kangaroos pause mid-crossing. Small against the winter landscape, they hold the centre of the frame with understated presence. The scene feels suspended, as though the world has taken a breath and is waiting.
The leading lines of the track draw the viewer inward, into that hush where movement is subtle and fleeting. It is a rare meeting of Australian wildlife and winter conditions, familiar bushland transformed into something almost foreign.
