Curated selection

The majority of my work as a landscape photographer could best be described as intimate landscapes. Quiet, detailed scenes that capture the feeling of a place alongside wide, sweeping views. When I head out on location, one of the first things I look for is interesting light. It’s often in these small, softly lit pockets that the atmosphere reveals itself.

My work is heavily influenced by classic fantasy tales with a mix of folklore. I’m not just documenting what I see, I’m trying to capture how it felt to stand there, to experience it. Choosing where and when to shoot usually comes down to season and mood. I’m someone who naturally leans toward cozy and moody scenes, and I think that’s reflected in my work. While I love a vibrant beach sunrise, I get the most joy from a cool walk along the sand just before a storm rolls in, or from bundling up to photograph snow falling in a quiet pine forest.

These kinds of moments remind me of the stories and fantasy novels I grew up with. They offer a gentle escape from the real world, while still being rooted in it. You could say escapism is what drives me to make photographs. With a love for tales of giants, mystical creatures, and forgotten worlds, I’m naturally drawn to scenes that could easily belong to those stories. Through my images, I hope to invite others into that same space, where imagination meets reality, and wonder feels close at hand.
